CAVEAT: Despite the title of my last journal entry, I'm not arguing for the existence of a dinosaur species alive today. I merely argue here for the plausibile existence of a large, rare creature that is currently unknown to science, and seems to bear a resemblance to a sauropod dinosaur. I'm open to other possible identities, though, like giant mammals or lizards. This sidesteps common criticisms along the lines of "Dinosaurs couldn't have survived for 65 million years" or "Sauropods weren't adapted to live in jungles or swamps."
